ABOUT US
In May of 2005, we opened the doors of South Beach Casino in Brokenhead. Today that idea to bring economic growth prevails stronger than ever building more and more jobs to the surrounding community while creating an entertainment experience 2nd to none! This in turn allows us to give back to these same communities and other charitable organizations that support other economic programs in Manitoba and Canada.

Requirements:
Individuals must be willing to work days, nights, weekends and holidays. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age or older, and be eligible to obtain approval from the Liquor and Gaming Authority of Manitoba.

CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT
South Beach Casino & Resorts’ mission is simple “To provide expert and professional guest service and an entertainment experience for our guests that exceeds their expectations.”
Our Ocean Club Reps, Slot Attendants, Cage Cashiers, Valet Attendants, and Hotel Guest Service Agents responsibility is primarily customer service; this can range from assisting guests with promotions to jackpot pay outs, to check-ins.
Summary of Related Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promotes positive customer relations by providing prompt, courteous and efficient service to all guests
- Endorses, sells and markets current promotions and upcoming activities
- Acts as liaison for all functions and locations within the Resort
- Listens to customer complaints and resolves problems to restore and promote good public relations for ultimate customer satisfaction
- Creates, updates and edits players memberships
- Serves beverages
- Assists with jackpot payouts and provides guests with copies of any required documents
- Carries out guest operations of registration, rooming lists, check-outs and reservations
- Supports and assists Banquet department for overall guest satisfaction
- Provides timely communication to management on important guest or operational information
- Ensures guest confidentiality at all times
Some Qualifications and Requirements:
Friendly, outgoing and happy individuals with prior customer service are best suited for these roles. Individuals with some computer skills is helpful to efficiently operate a database management system.
The incumbent must obtain and maintain approval from the Liquor and Gaming Authority of Manitoba (LGA).
FOOD & BEVERAGE DEPARTMENT
The Food and Beverage department is responsible for providing superb customer service in the areas of food delivery whether it be in Mango’s Restaurant, Blue Dolphin Lounge, Banquets or Room Service. All guests and patrons must be served in a timely and professional fashion. This could range from seating guests to preparing orders to receiving payment to providing a clean environment.
The Food and Beverage department is a diverse team made up of Sous Chef’s, Line Cooks, Servers, Bartenders, and Hostesses.
Summary of Related Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promotes positive customer relations by providing prompt, courteous and efficient service to all patrons and guests
- Presents menu, answers questions and makes suggestions regarding food and specialties
- Prepares food items according to menu specifications
- Ensures readiness of all meals for servers with high attention to detail
- Serves all guests and patrons according to established standards of quality
- Observes guests to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed
- Accepts payment from guests and patrons
- Ladles soup, brews coffee, and performs other services necessary for day to day operations
- Clears and resets tables at conclusion of each course
- Cleans and maintains all dishes, glasses/mugs, cutlery and cooking equipment for the Restaurant, Lounge and Banquet
- Adheres to organization’s policies and procedures, in addition to MB liquor laws
- Performs other duties as deemed necessary
Some Qualifications and Requirements:
Prior serving experience in a licensed establishment or other prior food & beverage experience is preferable. Customer service experience working with the public in a diverse environment would be beneficial. Food Handlers certificate, POS usage, and cash handling experience is necessary for the role. Must be able to work in a fast pace, team orientated environment that focuses on repeat and continued business at high volume.
The incumbent must obtain and maintain approval from the Liquor and Gaming Authority of Manitoba (LGA) and all Servers are responsible for the passing the Serving it Safe program.
SUPPORT SERVICES DEPARTMENT
Support Services is responsible for keeping the premises of South Beach Casino & Resort in a clean, orderly and safe for overall guest satisfaction. This is achieved by having a diverse team of Housekeepers, Groundskeepers, Maintenance Technicians, Room Attendants, Laundry Attendants, Lobby Attendants and Security Officers that ensure our facility presents well.
Summary of Related Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promotes positive customer relations by providing prompt, courteous and efficient service to all patrons and guests
- Cleans gaming floor, bathrooms, hotel lobby, hotel rooms and back offices
- Empties and cleans wastebaskets and transports waste to disposal area
- Replenishes bathroom supplies, and replaces light bulbs
- Maintains and repairs resort including plumbing, electrical, heating, cooling or ventilation systems, machinery and landscaping
- Respond to service calls and conducts routine inspections
- Ensures property ensuring a pleasant looking atmosphere, inside and outside
- Sustains constant vigilance to ensure the safety of patrons, employees and resort assets
- Performs other duties as deemed necessary
Some Qualifications and Requirements:
A strong teamwork attitude with initiative and motivational skills accompanied with prior experience in a support service role is required. Attention to detail with thoroughness and work ethic is also needed. Physically you need to be able to bend, lift, move and operate equipment at various heights on a day to day basis. Some positions require secondary education.
